NYSATE SECTION 10 MEMBERS / DEPENDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2012
Applications are now available for the NYSATE Section 10 Members / Dependent Scholarship Program for 2012. Please contact Tahir Qureshi (Region 10), Priscilla Ortiz (region 10), Karen Taylor (Region 10), Margaret Conklin (Region 10), Adam Levine (Region 11), or Log on to NYSATE Website under Section 10 News (www.nysate.org) for applications.
Dependent scholarships are available for children / wards of a member (active, affiliated, associate, or adjunct) of NYSATE in this local section who have an unbroken membership for a period of two years preceding the application for scholarship, and keep their membership paid up during the tenure of the scholarship; or a child of a deceased member who would have been eligible if the parent were living. This program is for High School Seniors or Graduates under the age of 25 enrolled in an accredited college for the Fall 2012 semester. Selection will be based on scholastic achievements, community involvement, and other merits.
In addition we give up to ten $100 College scholarships to be given out to NYSATE Section 10 members for the 2012/2013 scholastic year to be used by the recipient at an accredited school for Engineering or Transportation related studies. To qualify you must be a member (active, affiliated, associate, or adjunct) of NYSATE in this local section. Such member shall be in good standing and have an unbroken membership for a period of two years preceding the application for scholarship, and keep their membership paid up during the tenure of the scholarship. Selection will be by lottery.
All applications must be submitted to the local N.Y.S.A.T.E. Screening Committee no later than Friday May 4, 2012.
