John began his career as a technician with New York State Department of Transportation in 1989 in the Main Office with an AAS Civil Engineering Technology from the Hudson Valley Community College. During the following years, John attended night classes to continue his career development while maintaining his full time NYSDOT job and family duties. John's hard work and dedication was realized with a BS of Civil Engineering Technology from SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome. We are very proud of John's accomplishment of receiving his four year degree and graduating as Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 gpa. John is currently a CE II working in the Region One Highway Design Group.

John has been part of the NYSATE Section One family since 1995 as a dedicated member. John is currently serving as one of NYSATE Section One's Local Director. He is also on the NYSATE Section One Bottle Drive Committee and a regular attendee at our dinner meetings. John was a large part of the Section One NYSATE 2003 Conference, he Co-Chaired "Signs" Committee, proctored technical sessions and assisted in conference set-up and dismantle.

John takes a great deal of pride and effort in his professional, community and NYSATE activities. John is always willing to accept new challenges and can be counted on to share his knowledge and life experiences with younger staff members.

On a personal note, John is married to his wife Tina and has two children, Nicole 10 and Anthony 2 1/2 and enjoys spending his free time playing soccer, golfing, working on all types of home improvement projects, taking day trips with his family throughout New York and Vermont, and vacationing in Maine with his family.
