NYSATE Section 1 - Engineer of the Year
Section 1 - Schenectady, 2010 Engineer of the Year - Stephen G. Gadomski
It is with great honor and pleasure that Section 1 presents our 2010 Engineer of the Year, Mr. Stephen Gadomski.

Steve joined the Department in 1983 as an Engineering Aide. He rose through the ranks, attaining his current title of Civil Engineer 1 in 1993. During his career, he has been the designer for a wide variety of projects, having spent seventeen years in structure design and six years in highway design. Steve is currently the Assistant Regional Quality Assurance /Quality Control Engineer, where he is able to share his experience and knowledge. Steve is a 1983 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College, earning an Associate degree of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology.
Steve has been a dedicated NYSATE member since 1986. He has organized Association sponsored events, including the annual bowling tournament, and holiday parties. He was a member of the Hospitality Committee and Guest Program Committee during the 2003 Conference. Steve is a frequent attendee of dinner meetings and the annual conference.
Active in the community, Steve has been a Cub Scout Pack Committee Member/Treasurer, organizing events and fundraisers. He has volunteered his time with the Hudson Valley Girl Scouts, and as an Assistant Coach with recreational soccer and little league. Steve was a Public Employees Federation Division Steward, holding the Office of Secretary/Treasurer.
Steve and his wife Therese will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this year. They live in the Town of Colonie with their daughter Elizabeth 22 and son Daniel 19.
